Best Yoga Pants July 16, 2010 A. Pedersen (San Rafael, CA USA) I've purchased a couple pair of these so far. They are expensive but are also the most wonderful yoga pants I've ever had. The fabric is incredibly soft yet not at all flimsy. They fit like a glove and flatter your figure. I am very small but with long legs and the length has been perfect for me. They are easily washed and don't pill. I love them, is really all I can say. I use them for every day wear with longish tops.
Love these pants! May 10, 2010 TV (Los Angeles) I cannot recommend these pants enough!
I have the "original pant" and the "capri", both in black. While I originally bought them for yoga and general workouts, the truth is, I wear them all the time now! They are so incredibly flattering... I think of them as the Seven jeans of yoga pants... they do great things for your shape! the material has nice thickness and elasticity... the pants are form-fitting, but do not cling in a bad way. You can see from the photo that they really create a flattering, long line and make the legs look great as opposed to pants that are narrower at the ankles.
I have tried on other brands of pants in a similar style (adidas, puma, etc.), and have yet to find one as flattering as Beyond Yoga.
They are on the expensive side, but completely worth it... they last forever. I've had mine for 3+ years, wear and wash them constantly, and they have still retained their elasticity, etc.
Go for it! You won't be sorry.
Great Fabric, Terrible Style February 19, 2010 Christina Kelley (Los Angeles, CA) One of the other reviewers was (unfortunately) correct when she wrote that these pants don't look good with shoes on. They look terrible with tennis shoes. There's no flare at the bottom of the leg and they really remind me of the lines of the pants that many elderly women wear. So, around the house with bare feet they're okay, but outside, not so cool looking. The fabric and construction quality is superior to all of my other yoga pants. Pity that they missed the mark on style. Because of that, not worth the extra cost.
A winner! November 2, 2009 Vikki (Locust, NJ United States) I found this fabric to be practically perfect. From the short shorts, bermudas, capris, to the pants, I own them all, and nothing has ever worked as well. I'm 5'5", 123 lbs and did find the inseam on the pants to be a bit long but very workable, not long enough to bother hemming. This fabric stays in place no matter what I'm doing, no tugging, no pulling, the fit is great, even with my muscular thighs. My weight trainer also loves this brand/fabric. I am concerned about piling from laundering, but I'm willing to put up with the minimal amount in exchange for great fit, wearability, wicking, and comfort. Overall I've found nothing to compare. (many other brands have a plastic/ruber feel to the fabric, a real turn off)
too short! September 18, 2009 Jill Tipton I'm 5'8" and I bought the XS. They fit well, but were way too short. I tried the small thinking they might be a bit longer, but they were still way too short (before washing). I was very disappointed because they are really comfortable and SO soft and flattering. I really like the two toned brown with pink (so much so that I kept them, even though they are too short and I feel a bit silly with my high waters).
