Ehhhh, OK, gets the job done August 17, 2010 firsttimereviewer The Mountain color is really ugly, like a gray sweatshirt. It's really big, and it does seem to move around a lot on me. It bunches at my feet and I spend time straightening it out again.
it aborbs well, though. it's easy to wash/dry, and pack up in a yoga bag.
next time i buy a towel, I'll probably spend more money and get something with better quality.
Go with Manduka August 11, 2010 T. Perez I bought this towel because it was $5 cheaper than the Manduka towel. I should have gone with the Manduka. This towel is bulkier than the Manduka, appears to be less slip resistant, and (on a more frivolous note) the color is pretty ugly. I have tried 4 yoga towels. This is the order of my preferences based on price and quality: Manduka, Kulae, Yogitoes, Hugger Mugger. Yogitoes is a good towel, but too expensive, Hugger Mugger is a great towel (and a good price) but better for wiping sweat as opposed to practicing on.
Water this towel down A LOT, but then it works pretty well August 2, 2010 AU Dust (Colorado) This is a pretty good towel. If you do regular yoga, or don't start sweating in hot yoga for the first 15 min or so, you'll need to wet the towel down A LOT before you get started. Otherwise, it will wrinkle up, as other reviews noted. If you sweat a lot, just water down where your hands and feet go. I've washed the towel with no problems; although I only put it in the dryer for a few minutes, and let it air dry. If you're new to yoga, I recommend a towel, and this one is good. You can pretty much get two-for-one compared to YogiToes. Just wet it down (it feels good anyway) before you get started.
Best product for heated classes May 27, 2010 Edna Barr (Palo Alto, CA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I LOVE this product! I'm online now ordering more! I've used Yogi Toes for years & was always frustrated during the first half of class where you are not sweating enough to get the towel to grip properly but you're still slipping. I've tried wetting down the Yogi Toes but they really don't work well until you are dripping wet then you have to haul that sweaty mess around until you get home.
The Kulae towel is lightweight even after a heated class, grips well & easier to care for. The price is half the cost of Yogi Toes. I travel a lot & with the strict weight restrictions on luggage this is the perfect accessory as it can also be used as a towel.
Overpriced for the Quality March 28, 2010 kia00nc 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
I started hot yoga about 2 months ago and as wit hany new hobby I gave it 30 days before i started buying accessories. My first mat towel was the Gaiam yoga towel because it was the cheapest on the marketGaiam Thirsty Yoga Towel (Smokey Purple). After remaining dedicated to yoga and going consitently 3 times a week it was time for a new towel an I purchased this one. It does not absorb sweat quickly as my Gaiam does, on the contrary at the end of class my mat is soaked. The towel slides around and is bigger than my mat but not by much so I wouldn't classify it as truly oversized. For my next towel I will either go back to the gaiam or try to yogitoes.
