Amazon.com Product Description Ideal for stretching, yoga, Pilates, and floor exercises, Harbinger's ribbed, rolled Durafoam mat makes floor workouts far more comfortable. The mat is made of 5/8-inch-thick closed-cell Durafoam, a soft, pliable material with a cushion-like feel. The mat's nonskid ridges, meanwhile, grip the floor securely to prevent injuries and create a more stable performance. And users will love the mat's moisture-resistant skin, which is easy to clean--a must after a particularly sweaty workout session. The mat, which includes an integrated strap to make carrying and storing easy, measures 24 inches wide by 72 inches long. The mat carries a 90-day warranty.

shoulda got the thinner pad August 23, 2010 Nak (Petoskey, MI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was thinking the thicker pad would be more comfortable to work out on. I was wrong. My wife has a thinner pad and I prefer it much better. Think of the thicker one as working out on a bed mattress. OK, not quite that bad, but you get the idea. Get the thinner one.
Too much padding. August 21, 2010 Mark Lenser 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This pad is actually very nice if you do not intend to do yoga or anything that requires balance. As soon as you get into balance poses this mat absolutely fails. It is 3/4" thick which compresses greatly with normal weight(140lbs).
I really love this mat and it's very comfortable, but it makes any balance pose much more difficult. I would recommend a much thinner mat for the grip.
From an older guy with bad knees August 16, 2010 Louis S Boden 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I order this because it was thicker than the other mats. I have bad knees and kneeling on the floor is not comfortable. Using this mat allows me to do those parts of my new Yoga practice that requires being on the floor. I am grateful. If some of your padding has eroded with age, here's a partial helpful replacement.
Not good for yoga August 7, 2010 Connecticut (CT, United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this mat for yoga and it's way too thick for the standing postures. Balancing on the mat is very difficult. It also curls up at the ends.
Nice cushy mat! August 4, 2010 D. Masselink (Shelbyville, MI USA) I actually ordered this to use as a seat pad for a sailboat - it's nice and thick. I DID notice a strong chemical smell for the first few days - but allowing it to "air out" seems to have stopped the smell. I would certainly buy it again!
